Polymerase chain reaction Notes:

A technique used to amplify the number of DNA copies present in a sample. Sometimes the number of gene copies present are too little too visualize hence PCR technique is used. A set of specific primers are used to start the replication reaction at specific gene site. In this way, copies of DNA sequences are exponentially amplified to generate thousands to millions of more copies of that particular DNA segment.
