Interologs Definition:

  • If a pair of proteins from one proteome are known to interact, their conserved homologs in another proteome are likely to have similar interactions. homologous pairs are referred as interologs.

Interologs Notes:

If a pair of conserved protein in one specie interact with their homolgs in other specie then it is known as interologs. For example, if A and B are orthologs and C and D are orthologs, then the interactions between A and C in one specie and between B and D in another specie are interologs.
