A proposal from a contractor for a particular project is divided into three sections. One of them is technical section. The technical section of a proposal helps in convincing the customer that the customer's requirements are clearly understood by the contractor and it can provide a low risk, profitable, and reasonable solution. The elements of the technical section of the proposal include understanding the problem, proposed solution or approach (which includes the method of collecting and analyzing information, methods of alternatives' evaluation, the rationale of the proposed solution, and confirmation that the proposed solution would meet the customer's requirements), and benefits to the customer.
