Over consumption is also a factor of malnutrition due to over - intake of nutrients that exceed the normal amount, needed for healthy development, growth as well as metabolism. Over - eating gives rise to low efficiency in doing daily physical activity, resulting in reduced energy expenditure. It further causes a variety of health problems. For instance, excessive quantity of carbohydrates fats causes obesity, cardiovascular and diabetes.
