Chordates are included in those animals having a cord or backbone along with their physical structure, on the other hand, non chordates are without backbone or notochord. The animals which are part of phylum chordata are: mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, and amphibians; while, lancelet,s sea squirts are cephalochordates and tunicates respectively.
