Host range Notes:

Host range is all the organisms of the hosts that a virus can infect. The host range is usually a function of an inability of the virus to successfully adsorb and/or enter cells because of an incompatibility between virus capsid proteins (or virus envelope proteins ) and the host receptor molecule. Therefore some viruses cannot infect certain organisms. For example the HIV virus only infects humans however other variants of it might infect animals too.
