Heart attack Definition:
A heart attack, also called a myocardial infarction, is the damage or death of cardiac muscle tissue resulting from blockage of one or more coronary arteries.

Heart attack Notes:
Myocardial infarction is commonly known as a heart attack and occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to a part of the heart which causes damage to the heart muscle. The most common symptom is chest pain or discomfort which may travel into the shoulder, neck or back. Often it occurs in the center or left side of the chest and lasts for more than a few minutes. Women more often present without chest pain and instead haveo ther kinds of symptoms.
