Controlled experiment Definition:

Controlled experiment Notes:
In a controlled experiments, only one variable is changed and the rest are kept constant to the effect of that one particular variable can be seen. For example in an attempt to check the effect of water in the process of photosynthesis, only the quantity of water will be changed and the rest of the variables like sunlight, nutrients etc. are kept constant.
