Rating Definition:
A work study technique that attempts to assess a worker's rate of working relative to the observer's concept of standard performance - controversial and now accepted as being an ambiguous process.

Rating Notes:
A rating is an appraisal device allotted by an examiner or rating organization to a stock or bond. The rating allotted shows the stock or bond's degree of speculation opportunity. For a stock, an investigator may dole out a purchase, hold or sell rating and a clarification of why they prescribe this activity for the stock.
